Dear Baseball Enthusiast:

The Union County Baseball Association in cooperation with the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Department of Parks and Community Renewal  is pleased to announce another season of the fall youth baseball league.

The league will begin play on Friday, September 5, 2008.  All games will be played in Warinanco Park, Roselle/Elizabeth, New Jersey.    The format will consist of Thursday and Friday evening games and Saturday and Sunday games, and will continue for approximately six weekends.   The age requirement for all participants will be 15 though 18.  All players must have celebrated their 15th birthday on or before 9/01/08.  Players who reach the age of 19 before 11/1/08 are not eligible. 

As always, the league will use wood bats only.  The cost of registration is a FLAT FEE OF $600 PER TEAM.  The registration fee must be submitted before the first scheduled game.  No team will be permitted to participate in the league if their registration fee is not paid prior to the first scheduled game.

All teams must have an adult coach.  Players will not be allowed to act in that capacity.  Coaches must be present at all games.  Rosters must be submitted by 8/22/08.   Enclosed are registration forms for your convenience.  For additional information, please call Ed Jackus at 908-578-0793, or Tom Urban at 908-419-4817.

The UCBA would like to thank those of you who have participated in the past and look forward to your continued involvement.  We ask that all teams make a concerted effort to ensure their team presence as scheduled.   Your commitment to the league is greatly appreciated

REMINDER – Please keep in mind that the league will be limited to twenty teams this year.  Please submit your payment and paperwork as soon as possible.
