Dear Baseball Enthusiast:
The Union County Baseball Association in cooperation with the Union County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Department of Parks and Community Renewal is pleased to announce another season of the fall youth baseball league.
The league will begin play on Friday, September 11, 2009. All games will be played in Warinanco Park, Roselle/Elizabeth, New Jersey. The format will consist of Thursday and Friday evening games and Saturday and Sunday games, and will continue for approximately six weekends. The age requirement for all participants will be 15 though 18. All players must have celebrated their 15th birthday on or before 9/01/09. Players who reach the age of 19 before 11/1/09 are not eligible.
As always, the league will use wood bats only. The cost of registration is a FLAT FEE OF $700 PER TEAM. A $100 cancellation fee is included in the $700 team fee. Each team will be charged for up to two cancellations made less than 48 hours of the scheduled game. If there is a third cancellation, the team will be removed from the league. If the game is cancelled up until 48 hours before the game, there will be no charge. The cancellation fee will be refunded at the end of the season if a team has not cancelled any games. The registration fee must be submitted before the first scheduled game. No team will be permitted to participate in the league if their registration fee and all paperwork is not submitted prior to the first scheduled game.
All teams must have an adult coach. Players will not be allowed to act in that capacity. Coaches must be present at all games. Rosters must be submitted by 8/28//09. Enclosed are registration forms for your convenience. For additional information, please call Tom Urban at 908-419-4817.
